At FreshXChange, our mission is to transform the global fresh produce trade by creating direct connections between premium producers and commercial buyers worldwide. We're committed to promoting sustainable agriculture, fair trade practices, and transparent supply chains.
We focus on improving livelihoods for smallholder farmers while ensuring global quality standards for our buyers. All producers on our platform maintain a minimum of Global GAP and GRASP certifications, with QR code-enabled traceability as standard.
By leveraging technology and our extensive network, we aim to reduce inefficiencies in the traditional import/export process, minimize food waste, and ensure that both producers and buyers can thrive in a more equitable marketplace.
Our Story
FreshXChange was founded in 2020 by a team of agricultural experts and technology innovators who recognized the challenges faced by both producers and buyers in the international fresh produce market. Having worked directly with farmers across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, our founders witnessed firsthand the disconnect between quality producers and global markets.
We identified that the primary barriers for smallholder farmers were access to certification and lack of transparency in the supply chain. FreshXChange was built to address these challenges directly, providing a six-month onboarding process for smallholders to ensure they meet global standards.
What began as a small pilot project connecting Kenyan herb farmers with European importers has grown into a comprehensive platform serving hundreds of producers and buyers across multiple continents. Today, FreshXChange continues to expand its reach while maintaining its core commitment to quality, transparency, and sustainability.
